Victor Hodgins, a local wag walker in Jacksonville walks through what he calls, "the Uber for dogs." Hodgins explains the app base program is for locating a dog walker and is new in Jacksonville and is growing. The Wag app resembles that of the already popular app called Uber.

 

Individuals download the WAG! app and submit requests on the platform where it is then electronically sent to all the local walkers. The first person to initiate a response becomes responsible for the service.

 

It’s just like a job, people have the opportunity to make a living walking dog, according to Hodgins.
